My good friend Margaret has started her own Blog. I have Been struggling to find a way to put a blog roll up on Live Journal, so I can link to other Blogs but have not had any luck. Ben has suggested that perhaps I should transfer my blog to Word Press, which will give me more freedom to do what I want. I will have to wait until he is home for a break from school for his help with the set up.
So for now, here is the link, and I hope to be able to display it on a more permanent basis in the future.
I planted an herb garden in the spring. I planted this pineapple sage along with 2 kinds of basil, greek oregano and some catnip that was completely eaten by Pigeon with-in the first week. The rest of the herbs have died, But this sage plant has grown into a bush with red flowers. It was 5 inches tall when I planted it!
Ben is home for two weeks and is teaching me more tricks, such as making my pictures larger without diminishing the resolution and he has shown me more ways to make borders.
I took this picture at my niece Rachel's wedding party and then forgot to take more pictures. I didn't even get a picture of the wedding couple or my sister. I am sorry. It was a great party.
Beth, it was great to see you again, I miss you and wish you lived closer and could visit more often.
My next door neighbors have 22 acres of land that is mostly in a natural state. I am fortunate to have permission to take walks and pictures there. This is a photograph of tall grasses and wild flowers.
You may not be able to tell from this picture, but this redheaded woodpecker is huge. I heard him pecking the tree trunk with his beak and it was so loud that I thought the neighbors were hammering something.
